Sound Tree I
Sound Tree was inspired by the sound of electronic music. The auditory elements of Sound Tree such as its drum beats and bass notes generated unique images and visual structures in my mind. By letting my hands move as the musical beats directed, and drawing the types of images evoked by the rhythm, musical/auditory rhythm and beats was transformed into the visual images.

#1 was an experimental hand drawing of creating basic units in 2D spaces, following more traditional drawing techniques and materials.

In #2, the volumes and masses of units were replaced with linear lines which were rhythmically repeated, connected, creating other geometric images.
I utilized conventional painting materials such as acrylic, ink, and watercolor on paper.
